MEXICO CITY — Six military officers involved in the ouster of Manuel Zelaya from the Honduran presidency last year were charged this week with abuse of power, but the charges are expected to be dropped as part of a deal to ease tensions in the country, officials said.

Congress decided: Mel Zelaya will not be restored

The National Congress decided not to restore the deposed president, Manuel Zelaya.
111 deputies voted against returning to power and only 14 in favor. 3 is not presented to the meeting.
